Jeremih Lands Role In ‘Power Book IV: Force’
Jeremih is venturing out from singing to acting.
The Don’t Tell ‘Em singer has officially been cast in Starz’s Power spinoff, Power Book IV: Force.
That series will show popular Power character Tommy Egan’s (Joseph Sikora) life after leaving his hometown New York City. The spinoff was announced in August.
Jeremih (born Jeremy Felton) has secured the role of Elijah, a leader in the CBI who is fully aware of the drug game, and doesn’t mind bending the rules. Elijah is also a close friend of Jenard Sampson (Kris D. Lofton) and has no limits in showing his loyalty to the Sampson brothers.
It’s been a life-changing few months for Jeremih as he was hospitalized with a severe case of COVID-19 last year.
He said in an interview with Sway In The Morning in December 2020,
“Truth be told… I’m a living, walking testimony. I was really down bad for the last month and a half while I was in there. I don’t even remember the day I went in. That’s how messed up it was that whole time in here.”
He continued,
“I had a tube down my throat for about a week and a half. I was really in a dream. I woke up like two times and all I remember is just seeing a white light those two times I was in there. What I ended up having, and I don’t mind sharing this because now I’m immune, it was called multiple inflammatory syndrome, MIS, which is a rare cause of COVID. My whole insides, all my organs became inflamed. My heart went out, stopped beating, and started beating irregularly, my kidneys went out, my liver started to fail and go bad.”
He added that he had to learn to walk again, but that he took the experience as a sign to “sit down”
“I had to learn how to walk again, eat, all of that… I needed to sit down, I needed to take a break. It’s been 13 years since I’ve been me.”
