Jim Jones Seemingly Becomes Defensive When Asked If He Still Deals With Pressure To Marry Chrissy Lampkin: Why Are You Worried About Me Getting Married?
Jim Jones doesn’t seem to be here for people asking him when he’s going to marry his long-term fiancée Chrissy Lampkin. During a recent virtual interview with the Chicago Morning Show 107.5, rapper Jim Jones, born Joseph Jones II, was asked by media personality Kendra G. if there is still pressure for him and Chrissy to get officially married. Jim Jones seemingly became defensive over the question and asked Kendra G. if she or her mother was married. He asked,
“You married?”
“Ya mama married?”
After Kendra G. informed the ‘We Fly High’ rapper that she and her mother aren’t married he continued and said,
“Alright then, well that should answer your question. Why are you worried about me getting married?”
He added,
“I just wanna know. You’re talking to me about something that you haven’t fulfilled and your mom hasn’t fulfilled. So you shouldn’t be worried about what’s going on in my house. You should try to figure out what’s going on in yours.”
Kendra G. tried to explain why she asked the question and shared that she’s a fan of the couple and watched their relationship play out on TV. However, Jim Jones didn’t seem to care too much about her explanation. He said,
“As a fan – you fans need to turn around and see if your mama’s married or if your father’s married. That’s what you fans need to do. And if that’s not going on in your household then you fans shouldn’t ask me any questions.”
Later on in the conversation, Jim Jones said,
“I’m just playing with you. Marriage is a lovely thing and everybody has they cause in life.”

“To be honest with you, [marriage] is not a priority anymore. Our relationship is in a good place.”
She added,
“I thought that that was, like, the natural progression, but it’s not for everybody. So, we’re good right now.”
