Chrissy Lampkin Laughs Off Jokes About Being Engaged To Jim Jones For Years

It looks like Chrissy Lampkin has changed her tune of wedding bells to her long-time boyfriend, turned fiancé, rapper, Jim Jones.

The couple, who was popularly known on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York”, had been dating prior to the show for six years.  It was on the jaw-dropping episode in 2011 that fans watched in anticipation, that Chrissy Lampkin proposed to her boyfriend in front of her friends and family, including Jim Jones’, not-too-happy-about-it mom, Nancy “Mama” Jones.

Nine years later and the pair still have not wed. Chrissy Lampkin stated in December,

“To be honest with you, it’s not a priority anymore.”

She continues,

“Our relationship is in a good place.”

Most recently, Chrissy took to Instagram to joke about her long-awaited marriage to her Dipset, rapper fiancé.  The meme reads:

“WE GONE BE ON LOCKDOWN UNTIL JIM JONES MARRY CHRISSY”

To which, in good humor, Chrissy replies in her caption:

“Dis how ya’ll gone do me??!!!!!”

Fans joked right along with Chrissy in the comments.  One fan says:

“Man we never going outside again”

And another says:

“I’m glad she can laugh at herself”

All in all, Chrissy and Jim Jones seem to be happy even without being married.  Even after the two were cast in Marriage Bootcamp: Family Edition in 2018, they were able to air out some of their differences in their relationship.
