Duane Martin Lands Deal With Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk Productions, Developing ‘The Free Agent’ Drama & Reality Show
Duane Martin has a few new projects up his sleeve, and he’s teaming up with longtime friend Jada Pinkett Smith.
The L.A.’s Finest actor has landed a deal with Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk Productions, and already has two upcoming shows in the works, Deadline reported.
The Free Agent is a series inspired by Duane Martin’s 25 years as a sports agent. It will tell the story of an agent who launches a business of his own and ultimately represents five Hall of Fame athletes hailing from various sports. The main character is touted as one who will go to great lengths to protect his clients and his family.
The second series, Deal Detective, is a reality show that features Duane Martin leading bargain hunters to assist people dealing with hardships.
Martin said in a statement,
“Jada is the brilliant creator and architect of the Red Table universe and I’m thrilled we are working together. As we go forward with sharing part of my story, Jada has the unique perspective of having seen the journey unfold. I can’t think of a better partner.”
Jada Pinkett Smith said of Martin,
“Duane and I have been friends for a long time. It would be an understatement to say how excited myself and the Red Table Talk family are to work with someone as talented as Duane.”
This is the latest deal for Red Table Talk Productions, which has already scored a Daytime Emmy for its Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk.
