Britney Spears’ Longtime Manager Alleges She’s Retiring From Music As He Resigns
As Britney Spears continues to fight against her conservatorship, her longtime manager has alleged she’s leaving the music industry for good as he resigns.
Larry Rudolph issued an email to the Womanizer singer’s personal conservator Jodi Montgomery, and Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, who is the conservator of her estate.
He wrote Sunday (July 4th) in an email that has since become public,
“It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus. Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire.”
His decision comes weeks after she fought to end her conservatorship in court where she alleged she was forced to perform against her will. Rudolph added in his email that he’s not connected to her conservatorship at all. He continued and wrote,
“As you know, I have never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations, so I am not privy to many of these details.I was originally hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her with her career. And as her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”
He concluded
“I will always be incredibly proud of what we accomplished over our 25 years together. I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been.”
Rudolph began working with Britney Spears in 1995, just years before her smash hit Baby One More Time was released in 1998. He’s also managed artists like Toni Braxton, Justin Timberlake, and Miley Cyrus.
