‘Insecure’s’ Final Season Will Premiere This October
We officially have an air date for the highly-anticipated final season of ‘Insecure’. The Instagram account for the HBO series revealed in a post that season 5 will start this October. The co-creator/leading actress of the popular series, Issa Rae, is all smiles and rocking a multi-color blazer and a forest green cropped tank-top in the image. The caption reads,
“The wait is almost over. The final season. October [purple heart emoji]”

Fans were shocked when news broke earlier this year that Issa Rae’s hit series ‘Insecure’ will end with season 5. Issa Rae previously spoke on the show coming to an end. She said,
“Prentice and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end. We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience.”

She added,
“I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least.”
In a separate interview, Issa Rae was asked if there’s a chance for a spin-off and she replied
“there’s a chance for everything.”
