Chlöe Bailey Gets Emotional While Discussing Negative Comments She Receives: I Always Pray When I Feel Like I Can’t Really Handle It
Chlöe Bailey is getting candid about how she handles societal pressures and backlash online.
Yesterday (Tuesday, Aug. 24th), Saweetie uploaded a new episode of her YouTube series, ICY University featuring a special guest: Chlöe Bailey.
During her time with Saweetie, Chlöe Bailey opened up about how she deals with the pressure she sometimes feels from society. She emotionally stated:
“Every day you can see so many positive comments, but then you’ll see that one that kind of just really messes with you. And you’ll be thinking about it the whole day. And then it’s like ‘Well, do I need to change this part of myself? Am I doing this wrong? What’s going on?’ But it’s like, I’m not all the way there yet, but I’m learning. So as I’m speaking it out, I’m teaching it to myself. I always pray when I feel like I can’t really handle it. And then I realize that you are perfect just the way you are. Whatever anybody believes in–God, the universe, whatever it is–I feel like something created us. And to believe that we were all created special, it would be doing a disservice to think you aren’t special.”
Chlöe Bailey continued:
“So whenever I’m like ‘That got to me,’ it’s like, you just got to kind of let that go and just really kind of dig deep. [Say] ‘Okay I’m here for a reason, and I’m not going to let other people’s opinions sway my path and where I’m supposed to be going. So I guess I kind of keep that mindset, but it’s easier said than done. So there’s some days where I’m like ‘I can’t do this, no.’ But then there’s other days where it’s like ‘Okay, I have the strength. I can keep going, and I’m gonna be proud of myself for doing it.'”

This is not the first time Chlöe Bailey has gotten emotional while speaking on the backlash she’s received. Earlier this year, the star tearfully addressed the hate she was getting for posting photos and videos that were more sultry than fans were used to seeing. She revealed she struggled with self-confidence in the past and stated:
“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable. And I’m telling myself that’s not what I’m going to do… I just felt it was important to address it, so you guys get to kind of know who I am inside. And it’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly. So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”
