Kanye Adds DaBaby Track To ‘Donda’ After Release, Amidst Being Called Out By DaBaby’s Manager
It is a huge day for Kanye West as his 10th studio album is finally out. The album is titled Donda, named after his late mother. While the album features hip hop’s biggest names, a few exchanges with DaBaby was shared by Kanye West moments before the album dropped. Kanye West posted text messages via Instagram which alleged that DaBaby’s verse on ‘Jail’ was not cleared by his manager, Arnold Taylor.

The screenshots included brief messages between Kanye West and his manager, Bu Thiam. West then reached out to what appeared to be DaBaby, which he included in his Instagram post.

The track originally debuted with a surprise feature from Jay-Z during Donda’s first listening party on July 22. ‘Jail’ continued to spark a frenzy after it was reintroduced to fans during Donda’s third listening party (August 27), which was the debut of DaBaby’s verse.

Moments after West posted his messages between the rap star and Bu Thiam, Donda was released without the feature from DaBaby. Just a few hours later, Arnold Taylor took to Instagram to explain his side of the story. The manager wrote:
“This is CAP, I woke up this morning to this social media bull****. I never got a call or email from @kanyewest@__bu@johnmonopoly I just received it today and Cleared it in 2 seconds. Why wouldn’t I want a hit song out when #SCMG is all about the growth and culture of hip hop and my artist!!! To all of the media blogs and outlets don’t believe everything you see in a post, thank you!!!”
Kanye West and DaBaby have not responded to Taylor’s recent post but West and his team recently added the feature to Donda, titling the track ‘Jail, Pt. 2″.

The original track still features Jay-Z. The album now has 27 tracks featuring Pusha T, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, and more. Donda was pushed back several times as its original release date was July 23. It is now available on all streaming platforms.
