RuPaul Jokes That He Wants to Host ‘Jeopardy!’: I’m Right Here B***h!
Could RuPaul be the next Jeopardy! host?
Last week, RuPaul served as the guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! While there, the drag star spoke on the current situation with Jeopardy! As you may recall, longstanding host Alex Trebek‘s death last year resulted in the popular game show bringing in an array of guest hosts, such as LeVar Burton. Earlier this month, a permanent host was finally selected: Mike Richards, who is also the show’s executive producer.

However, Mike Richards‘ new hosting position didn’t last long. A couple of weeks after the announcement, Mike Richards‘ past insensitive remarks–such as referring to one of the assistants as a “Booth Sl*t” and “Booth H*e”–came to light. Previous lawsuits he faced for allegedly harassing the models on The Price is Right also resurfaced. Resultingly, he decided to step down from the hosting gig–though he still serves as the show’s executive producer.
RuPaul brought up the Jeopardy! matter and addressed the show’s resurfaced search for a new permanent host. However, he also wanted to nominate himself for the job! In a segment called “Gayer News,” RuPaul stated:
“Sources say the show is now looking for someone with poise, authority and natural intelligence. In gayer news, I’m right here, b***h!”
