Drake To Curate The Music For ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’
Is Drake teaming up with ESPN?
Recently, reports began circulating that Drake will soon begin curating the music for Monday Night Football on ESPN. The announcement came through a statement made by Emeka Ofodile, ESPN’s vice president of sports marketing. He stated:
“Now we are here, the kickoff of the football season, and who better to curate music for Monday Night Football than Drake who sits firmly at the intersection of music and sports? We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming collaboration. The music curator role has been a big hit with our fans with Diplo and DJ Khaled in previous years and this season, we will be living inside the moment with Drake as our NFL on ESPN soundtrack.”
In his capacity as the music curator for Monday Night Football, Drake will essentially be in charge of selecting what songs will play during the program. The music will include some of Drake‘s newest hits as well as his more classic songs. Drake will select tracks by other artists to play as well. He will serve as the music curator for a total of 10 Monday Night Football games.
Monday Night Football kicks off this Monday (Sept. 13th) on ESPN with the Baltimore Ravens facing the Las Vegas Raiders.
Notably, this news comes less than a week following the release of Certified Lover Boy.
He previously revealed the release date in a cryptic message on the network.
