YoungBoy Never Broke Again Inks Joint Deal For His Label With Motown Records
YoungBoy Never Broke Again has a new deal with Motown Records for his label, Never Broke Again Entertainment.
YoungBoy Never Broke Again, 22, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, and his business partner, Kyle ‘Montana’ Clairborn will lead the company alongside their new partners at Motown.

Motown CEO, Ethiopia Habtemariam, who will grow the overall vision of the label, said,
“I’m excited to work with Never Broke Again, a homegrown brand that has created an incredibly authentic and credible movement that represents the next generation in Louisiana’s legacy of ground-breaking hip-hop labels.”
Set to be released in October, Never Broke Again Volume 1, will serve as the first project under the new partnership. The album will feature 16 unreleased tracks from YoungBoy Never Broke Again and additional artists from his label.

On his new partnership, YoungBoy said,
“I felt like I had a responsibility to my artist to make sure to find the right partner for my label.”
He continued,
“I’m looking forward [to] working with Ethiopia, Kenoe, and Motown Records.”
Kenoe Jordan, Vice President of A&R at Motown says he always wanted to work with the 21-year-old rapper, who also hails from the same city as him. He added,
“YoungBoy is an incredible visionary whose confidence in his artistry is only outdone by his dedication and work ethic. I’m excited to welcome them into Motown and help bring the Never Broke Again label and brand to the next level.”
The Baton Rouge rapper had three projects to top the Billboard 200 chart in the last year. And his third album, Sincerely, Kentrell, was set to be released in March but was halted due to his arrest.
YoungBoy is currently awaiting trial at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center in Louisiana after being charged with drug and weapon-related offenses.
