Rihanna Reflects On Her Billionaire Status: It’s Hard To Even Accept Because I Know Where I Come From
Rihanna’s new financial status may inspire us but for the singer, it’s not that simple.
Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty, 33, is opening up about her billionaire status. In a new interview, the singer, actress, and entrepreneur explains how being a billionaire is not as easy to accept as many may assume.

The businesswoman explained,
“It’s tricky because it’s hard to even accept that’s where you’re at because I know where I’ve come from.”
She continued,
“At the same time, it feels good to be able to inspire young women and boys, who like me, come from humble beginnings, who come from parents who are immigrants or who are immigrants themselves, to be able to do this.”
Rihanna, who is known for giving back to those in need (specifically through her charity, Clara Lionel Foundation – named after her grandparents) added that she wants to donate most of her fortune. She continued,
“Every dollar I make, I want to give it back. When it comes to people who need help, it hurts when I can’t do as much as I want, so now we’re just putting our foot down and C.L.F. is about to grow in a way that I’m really proud of.”
As previously reported, Forbes announced in August that Rihanna had reached the milestone billionaire status and was worth $1.4 billion, making her the richest female musician in the world.

The majority of her wealth can be accredited to her beauty line, Fenty, which she owns half of, and is reportedly worth $2.8 billion. Her lingerie line, Savage Fenty, is also reportedly worth $270 million.
The rest of her fortune comes from an extensive and successful music career, which fans are eagerly waiting for. On her new music, the singer said earlier this month,
“Whatever you know of Rihanna is not going to be what you hear. I’m really experimenting. Music is like fashion. You should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I treat music the same way. So I’m having fun and it’s going to be completely different.”
