Tisha Campbell Calls Out Clothing Company Selling T-Shirts W/ Her Face: You Can’t Put Somebody’s Face On A Shirt W/o Their Permission & Pocket Everything!

While vintage apparel featuring artists, television shows, and films is growing in popularity, actress Tisha Campbell isn’t a fan of her likeness being used without her permission.

She called out a manufacturer for creating and selling t-shirts with her face on them.

She shared a story with her social media followers and said,

“Y’all wanna hear some dumb a** s***? I know y’all like when I do this, but this is really, really stupid. So my friend, he’s in the mall, he goes into a store that has all these shirts, all this gear, shorts, everything – with my face plastered all over these shirts!”

Tisha Campbell continued and said she didn’t blame the manager, the store, or the employees, adding:

“They are really lovely and I actually had a conversation with them and they were really cool.”

She went on to say,

“But the manufacturer who are making these shirts – I think it was like Head Gear Classics or something like that – my brother, I’m all for the come up. I truly, truly am. But you just can’t put somebody’s face on a shirt without their permission and then pocket everything – and then go into the store saying, ‘Don’t you think this is honoring Tisha Campbell?’ You’re telling the store that you wanted to sell it to honor me. Honor me with a check!”

The video then showed images from her Martin character Gina Waters on multiple apparel items.

She added a message in the video and wrote,

“Cease and Desist You BIG DUMMY!!!!”

She wrote the caption,

Welp! [laughing Emojis]

“Chileeeee! It not just about my image…Head Gear classics will also have to contend with photographers who took the photos and owns them as well as the companies that owns the Martin show and House Party proper…you poor thing. Thanks @berkleytheartist for the heads up… love you friend!”
