“Well, how can I say this? It just was time to end. Let’s just put it that way. It was just, at that time, there was some, um, there were some things that was being said that—”
He confirmed he was referencing Campbell’s lawsuit and then spoke on their reunion in 2018, along with Tichina Arnold, who also starred in the show. He said they haven’t talked about their past legal issues.

“…Because none of that was true. It was all a lot of bulls*** and… Just whoever’s side it was, it was bulls***. We don’t need to talk about something that just didn’t happen. So I just decided to walk away from the show. I just decided to end it. People said that I got canceled, but that wasn’t the case. I decided to just leave the show. I love Tisha. I’ve seen her then and now, now and then, always with nothing but love. I have nothing but love for her, and I always have.”
Still, Campbell responded to Lawrence’s statements on “The Talk” Thursday (Jan. 16).
“I can’t go into too much detail about the past because there was a confidentiality agreement, and so the gag order says don’t. But what I can say is… I was actually kind of shocked. There were people in my ear [saying] just to still be quiet and don’t say anything. And then there were other people who were like ‘You need to clap back!'”
She said the best thing for her to do was to reach out to Lawrence.
But I was like, I took a day, and I said ‘I’m just gonna hit him up.’ So I hit him up. He called me within a minute. It didn’t even take him a minute to call me back. I was like ‘Hey!’ He was like ‘T!’ I said ‘Yo! Are we good?’ And he was like ‘Yeah T, don’t read into… There’s a lot of people trying to bring up the past and trying to make it news today. But T, we’re good. I love you, I love your family, and I was like, okay.'”

She added,
“Most people don’t know that we’ve talked. If you look back there’s picture of us and we had lunch last year. And most people were talking about a reboot. And for us, it wasn’t about a reboot, it was about a reconnection. He reached out to me and I got to break my bread with my co-stars and we got to talk about everything. Again, I’m not gonna into detail because I want to respect his privacy and I want to respect mine. But I will say by the end of it, it was nothing but laughter and healing, and I got a chance to experience that. And I’m so glad we’re in a good place.”

It’s safe to all is well considering Lawrence also said he still has nothing but love for Campbell following her appearance on the daytime talk show.
