Ramona Singer Allegedly Said ‘This Is Why We Shouldn’t Have Black People On The Show’ After Heated Race Exchange W/ Eboni K. Williams + Denies Making Statement: I Never Said That
Ramona Singer’s alleged racist comment against Eboni K. Williams has been revealed.
The 13th season reunion for RHONY was previously said to be canceled due to Bravo’s investigation into a complaint that Eboni K. Williams filed against Ramona Singer for an alleged racist remark. The network said in September that it was because of scheduling conflicts.
Now, the statement has been made public.
Ramona Singer is accused of saying “This is why we shouldn’t have black people on the show” after Luann de Lesseps told Eboni K. Williams to leave her home during a heated exchange about race.

Eboni K. Williams reportedly filed the complaint after catching wind of the alleged remark, causing Bravo and a third party to launch an investigation. While the probe determined there was no wrongdoing, Williams was said to be “dissatisfied” with the ruling.
Ramona Singer has since denied making the comment.
“I never said that. It’s a terrible lie. It’s very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me.”
She explained that a confidentiality agreement prevented her from sharing details.
Still, she was reportedly instructed to participate in sensitivity training, although an insider said it’s a requirement for all “Housewives” stars.
Williams is RHONY’s first Black full-time cast member. During the season, she addressed criticism that she discussed race too much on the show. She told theJasmineBRAND in an exclusive:
“Not my problem! And this is what I mean by it: this is my work. This is my life’s work!… I invite other Black women to join this platform, I am in active recruitment of it, and I don’t know if I’ll be back for another season. I don’t know if I’ll be invited, and I don’t know if I’ll accept it. But as long as I hold the apple, I’m going to use the platform according to my discretion. And my discretion is that they were allowed to have an all-white, pretty ridiculous f***ing show for 12 years, that I enjoyed, too! But now I’m here… Imma talk about Black excellence all day, and won’t anybody shame me about it–including other Black folks. But the microaggressions and some of the more traumatic elements of the Black experience are only being brought up because my castmates are stepping in it.”
