Afrika Bambaataa’s Child Molestation Lawsuit Temporarily Stalled As Attorneys Continue Trying To Locate Him
While Afrika Bambaataa may have a lawsuit to deal with, process servers haven’t been able to track him down yet!
As previously reported, Afrika Bambaataa–widely regarded as a pioneer of hip-hop–was recently hit with troubling allegations. Back in September, a John Doe filed a lawsuit against Afrika Bambaataa and accused him of child molestation and sex trafficking. Specifically, Bambaataa allegedly victimized the plaintiff between the ages of 12 and 16 while serving as the leader of the Universal Zulu Nation–a hip-hop awareness group he founded.
It’s also worth pointing out that Bambaataa has faced similar accusations since 2016 and was resultingly removed as the Universal Zulu Nation’s leader.

Now, there has been an update to the legal matter. According to AllHipHop, lawyers have been unable to track down Afrika Bambaataa in order to serve him with the court paperwork. When visiting the 64-year-old’s last known address, an unidentified woman reportedly answered the door and said she had never heard of Afrikaa Bambaataa.
No one has yet responded to the lawsuit on behalf of Bambaataa, and it’s unclear whether or not he will be penalized in any way or if the plaintiff is currently seeking a default judgement. Bambaataa‘s failure to respond to the lawsuit also resulted in the plaintiff being granted full anonymity in the case, as there wasn’t a defense team to argue otherwise.
