Master P Asks Judge To Declare Him Single Amid Ongoing Divorce From Estranged Wife Sonya Miller

It appears that Master P is beyond ready to officially be single so he can mingle!

According to reports, Master P, born Percy Miller, has recently filed documents asking the court to officially bring an end to his marital status so he can legally be a single man again. As previously reported, Master P, 54, has been separated from his estranged wife, Sonya Miller, 51, for over a decade. The pair married in 1989 and share7 children together. However, in 2010 they separated and 3 years later, in 2013, Sonya Miller filed for divorce from the ‘How Ya Do Dat’ rapper.

Despite filing for divorce years ago, Master P and Sonya Miller are still legally married. They have had a few rough patches in their estranged relationship and back in 2014 while chatting with Wendy Williams, Master P addressed some of their issues. He said,

“to realize in a relationship, you know, things happen. People grow together, they grow apart. My whole thing is, I’m not mad at her, you know, I love her, she’s my kids mother and we got to take care of our kids forever. I think what people got to realize is when lawyers come into the play and you got lawyers that don’t know your business, don’t know where you come from they play a big effect and I want to apologize to her, you know, to be honest with you because I’m not perfect, nobody’s perfect.”

Thankfully, according to reports, in 2016 Master P and Sonya Miller were able to put their differences aside and reached an agreement in their separation battle. However, the businessman has recently revealed that the paperwork was never submitted to the court, which is why he has filed legal documents requesting a bifurcation of his divorce. If granted this would immediately give both parties involved a single status and they would handle the rest of their divorce issues later.
