New allegations concerning Wendy Williams’ condition is making headlines. According to a new report from The Sun, two years ago, the talk show host displayed alarming behavior. The outlet reports that an alarming incident took place in the early months of the pandemic, when she filmed The Wendy Williams Show tapings- and her audience- inside her $4.5million New York City penthouse apartment.
According to insiders, in May 2020, the host hit a particularly rough spot with her addiction issues. An alarming situation is said to have taken place at her home, with a handful of people present. The site reports,
“According to sources, Wendy’s manager was summoned to her penthouse apartment after she had appeared unwell during a Zoom show taping earlier in the week. Her manager and a small group of confidants arrived to the host’s home to lend support to the struggling talk show queen. According to multiple sources, Wendy had stripped naked in her room and was touching herself in a sexual manner while shouting vulgar comments. The eyewitnesses looked on in horror, and immediately called healthcare workers. After medical personnel arrived at the home, Wendy allegedly grew more aggressive. The host was eventually taken to the hospital, where she would remain for weeks.”
Following the incident, the show announced that the host would be taking a hiatus from the program to battle symptoms of Graves’ disease. The show picked back up in studio in September 2020.
Fast forward to the present day and Wendy is currently out. The show was scheduled to return September 20 for Season 13. Initially, it was premiere delayed for weeks after Wendy tested positive for a breakthrough case of Covid-19. Prior to her Covid diagnosis, the show said she would be stepping back from promotional activities ahead of the premiere due to
“ongoing health issues.”
There have been multiple, unconfirmed reports that Wendy was allegedly in rehab and was strongly with her mental health.
The nationally syndicated Wendy Williams Show is produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury and has been renewed through the 2021-22 season by the Fox Television Stations.
