It looks like everything wasn’t included with Snoop Dogg’s recent Death Row Records purchase.
Earlier this month Snoop Dogg, 50, made headlines after purchasing Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group. Snoop Dogg has deep ties to the iconic record label and his first solo album, “Doggystyle,” was released by Death Row in November 1993. The project debuted at number one on the popular albums chart, the Billboard 200, and on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. After having a successful run with the record company, Snoop Dogg ultimately left Death Row in 1998.

Despite Snoop Dogg now being the owner of his former stomping grounds, he’s going to have to put in a little bit more work to secure Death Row Records’ entire catalog. According to reports, it appears that Death Row albums by the late 2Pac and Dr. Dre, 57, won’t be included in Snoop Dogg’s latest business deal. Reportedly, two of 2Pac’s Death Row albums, “All Eyez On Me” and “The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory,” are,
“no longer on the label.”

In addition to that, reports also claim that Dr. Dre’s 1992 debut album “The Chronic” is no longer on the Death Row label but will return sometime next year. According to reports, the specifics surrounding Snoop Dogg’s take-over deal are still under negotiation and until everything is finalized, Death Row’s previous owners (MNRK Music Group and investment firm Blackstone) are still the alleged owners of the Death Row catalog entries.
Snoop Dogg previously spoke on his purchase of Death Row Records and said,
“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me.”
