Snoop Dogg Accused Of Harassing Alleged Sexual Assault Victim After She Filed Lawsuit
Not so good news for Snoop Dogg!
The 50-year-old hip-hop legend was already in the hot seat for being sued for sexual assault by an unidentified woman, but now, that same woman claims he is harassing her because she has taken legal action against him. According to Radar Online, the alleged victim — who is using the pseudonym Jane Doe — has amended the complaint she filed against Snoop and his longtime friend Bishop Don Juan. Now, she has added new claims of defamation and false light against Snoop and his team.
As previously reported, the unidentified woman claims Snoop and Bishop Don Juan forced her to perform oral sex in 2013. She claims she went to Don Juan’s home after a Snoop concert in Orange County where he assaulted her. Allegedly, Don Juan then told her to get dressed to go meet Snoop for a possible job opportunity. ‘Jane Doe’ arrived at the studio and went to the bathroom. According to her claims, Snoop Dogg later assaulted her in the bathroom of a studio. The women, who was a former dancer for the “Gin and Juice” rapper, reportedly demanded almost $10 million before filing an official lawsuit.
The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper denies the allegations and claims the lawsuit is a shakedown. He points to the alleged victim’s lawyer filing suit just days before his performance at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Snoop Dogg responded to Jane Doe’s lawsuit, calling her a “gold digger” in an Instagram post. Sources close to the rapper claim the woman demanded a $10 million settlement and only sued once the offer was rejected. In his Instagram post, Snoop wrote,
“Gold digger season is here be careful Nefews keep ya guards up. And. Keep ya circle small”
Now, according to Radar Online, Jane Doe has a major issue with Snoop Dogg’s comments on Instagram and those of his publicist. She reveals the two had mediation in early February that was unsuccessful. She claims the California rapper made his “gold digger” post days after the failed mediation and believes Snoop threatened her with criminal and civil prosecution because she
“complained of sexual harassment.”
The alleged victim says his lawyers tried to threaten her lawyers just days after she filed the lawsuit in February. She claims they told her attorney, Snoop,
“will pursue a malicious prosecution action against your client and your firm seeking tens of millions of dollars in damages.”
She claims his spokesperson then released a statement accusing her of extortion.
The statement read,
“The allegations by [Jane Doe] of sexual assault by Calvin Broadus (known as Snoop Dogg), are simply meritless. They appear to be part of a self-enrichment shakedown scheme by [Jane Doe] to extort Snoop Dogg…[Jane Doe]’s scheme involves concocting a legal complaint as an anonymous “Jane Doe” plaintiff, and, knowing full well it can be a public document, filing this complaint late Wednesday, only three days before the Super Bowl.”
Reportedly, the statement identified Doe by her real name, which she claims demonstrates,
“Snoop’s pattern of practice of scaring, intimidating, retaliating against, and harassing victims of sexual harassment.”
Jane Doe is seeking unspecified damages from Snoop Dogg for alleged defamation as well as alleged sexual assault.
