Despite Wayne Brady’s various accolades through his work on comedy television, he does regret not acting on one project with another household name.

Comedian/actor Wayne Brady, 50, recently caught up with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that Jamie Foxx, 54, reached out to work with him to develop a series, but it didn’t end up going through.

Game show host Wayne Brady opened up about almost getting a chance to work with the actor, comedian, and singer prior to this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. Wayne shared:

“Years ago, right after I got Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Jamie Foxx reached out to me and took me to dinner and asked me to work on a sketch show with him, or to do something. I was in a deal at the time and I said no, and to this day I’m like, ‘Aw, man. I really wish.’”

He added:

“Because I feel like Jamie Foxx and I should be best friends. I wanna be Jamie Foxx’s buddy.”

Wayne has a shelf of Emmy’s, although the project with Jamie Foxx didn’t continue on. Wayne received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2003 for his performance on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”

In addition, the host has also won four Daytime Emmy Awards out of a total of 17 nominations. Wayne is nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host for his work on “Let’s Make a Deal” at this year’s 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
