Wendy Williams Isn’t Interested In Being On TV Full Time & Is Focused On Podcast, Says Manager
Wendy Williams has moved onto new endeavors in her media career.
Wendy Williams decided to step into podcasting amid the ending of television’s most popular daytime show “The Wendy Williams Show.” As previously reported, “The Wendy Williams Show” aired on television for 13 years and had its final episode on Friday (June 17) hosted by Sherri Shepherd, 55. Wendy Williams, 57, didn’t appear on the final episode due to reported ongoing health issues.
Will Selby, Wendy’s manager, stated the media mogul isn’t interested in being on television full time at this moment. According to reports, Will Selby will be the executive producer of Wendy’s upcoming podcast. Will Selby reportedly stated Wendy reached out to rappers Snoop Dogg and Fat Joe asking them to be guests on her podcast. Selby admitted Wendy had conversations with the Kardashian family and a member of Donald Trump’s family about appearing on her podcast.
In a recent interview, Wendy vowed to appear on television but that will no longer be her passion. Wendy wants to produce a full “Wendy” experience podcast featuring her favorite artists from the music industry, fashion, food, and more. However, she agreed to be open to appearing on talk shows or reality shows like “The View” or the “Real Housewives” series.
Selby stated Wendy hasn’t decided if she’s going to partner with a single platform, like Apple or Spotify, or release it independently. There is no date set yet for the podcast debut.
