Ludacris’ Manager Chaka Zulu Said To Have Fired Back At His Attackers In Self-Defense During Atlanta Shooting + Official 911 Audio Released

More details have emerged in the shooting of Ludacris‘ manager, Chaka Zulu, which left the music executive in critical condition.

On Sunday, June 26, Chaka Zulu was one of three victims who were shot at in the parking lot of Buckhead Atlanta‘s APT 4B restaurant.

The incident reportedly occurred after a heated argument between Chaka Zulu and another male occurred, reportedly resulting in four other men ambushing the Disturbing Tha Peace Records co-CEO to the ground as things turned severely physical.

An unnamed woman attempted to break up the altercation but failed. In the surveillance footage, the aggressor is subsequently seen bumping into Zulu‘s chest, which then prompted Zulu to address the man.

One of the attackers took out a weapon and fired two times before Zulu returned to his feet and aimed off at least one shot.

Zulu was said to have been injured following the shooting but has undergone surgery and is currently stable.

Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed released a statement to WSB-TV on Chaka Zulu’s state of health:

“We are fortunate to report that Chaka Zulu is in stable condition and recovering. The family thanks everyone for their well wishes and prayers, and asks for their privacy at this time.”
