Nick Cannon Says If Given The Chance He Would Rekindle His Relationship W/ Ex Mariah Carey & Insists He Will Never Have A Love Like The One They Shared: It Was Literally Like A Fairy Tale
It looks like Nick Cannon wants that old thing back!
Nick Cannon, 41, and Mariah Carey go down in history as one of the most talked about couples in Hollywood! Their union shocked the world when they got married in 2008, before officially splitting in 2016. Although both parties have moved on, it appears Nick Cannon would give it another shot if the opportunity ever presented itself!
During a recent interview with Tamera Kissen on her Youtube Channel, the “Wild n Out” host spoke fondly of his “fantasy love” with Mariah Carey and how no other love would ever compare, while playing a game on the show called “Spin The Block.”
He also spoke highly of her current boyfriend, long-time partner Bryan Tanaka, and just how “amazing” he is with the children Cannon shares with Mariah, 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. Nick explained,
“I truly respect her, the relationship that she’s been in for quite some time, and you know dude is amazing with my kids, and we got family gatherings… I truly respect her, but c’mon, that’s my fantasy love. That’s somebody I will always love.”
He continued,
“I guess because I’m a true romantic, I’m a true believer in love, and I allow the capsules of love to be where they lie. And I’m not a timeline dude, I believe time is man made, we make it linear when I believe it’s more reciprocal…I will never have a love like I have with Mariah. And I appreciate that. And that’s the thing, where the issue sometimes with spinning the block… sometimes the fantasy of spinning the block, it’ll never be what you think it’ll be.”
Nick Cannon said he would be hesitant of getting back with Mariah Carey because he wouldn’t want to mess up their ‘fairy tale’ connection. He explained,
“It was literally like a fairy tale with Mariah so I’d rather it be that way and I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, like damn, I messed it up.”
While hesitant, Nick Cannon says if the opportunity presented itself, he would get back with the iconic singer.
“But, if I had the opportunity to, if it could be the way that it was, I’m there! Always be my baby! Don’t forget about us! We belong together!”
he added, referencing her hit songs.
