Update: Drake Confirms Swedish Police Encounter After Team Denies Arrest

Update: Maybe Drake did have some legal issues in Sweden after all.

On Sunday (July 17) Drake shared a series of images on his IG page documenting his latest vacation. One of the photos is a document seemingly given to the rapper by Swedish authorities. The upload comes after reports surfaced that he was arrested in Sweeden. However, his team quickly denied those claims.

The legal document appears to inform Drake of his legal rights under Swedish law, similar to Miranda rights someone receives when they’re taken in by cops in the U.S.

original story: Turns out, the internet’s speculation of Drizzy being behind bars is false!

On Thursday night (July 14), it was rumored on social media that Grammy-award winner Drake was arrested by local police at a nightclub in Stockholm, Sweden. Fans took it to Twitter to joke about the arrest. Some indicated Drake was behind bars because of his house-inspired seventh studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind,’ which charted at the top of the Billboard 200.

Fans also used Drake’s famous meme’s in tweets to humor the situation.

Other fans were in shock about the alleged arrest.

A representative from the former ‘Degrassi’ actor’s team disclosed that he had not been arrested in Sweden. According to the representative, the 35-year-old was in his hotel during the time of his speculated arrest.
