It looks like Beyonce has recently teamed up with the legendary group The Isley Brothers to collaborate on her chart-topping album, Renaissance!
Just weeks after her new album Renaissance dropped, Beyonce, 40, has teamed up with the legendary Ronald Isley, 81, and The Isley Brothers for a new version of their 1975 classic “Make Me Say It Again Girl.” The new track premiered Tuesday (Aug. 9) on iHeartRadio and is set for a wide release this Friday (Aug. 12).
“She has a love for the Isley Brothers and her daughter grew up listening to this type of music.”
Ronald Isley said that Beyonce was in the midst of creating her Renaissance album when he approached her for the collaboration. He said,
“She worked on this just about the whole last year in between recording her own album, doing her vocals for this while she was in the Hamptons.”
He went on to emphasize the significance of the new track’s release date.
“Nobody in the world would let the first single of our album come out at the same time [as their new album]. That’s how important this work is.”

“Beyoncé’s mother texted us to say how much they were crying over the record when Beyoncé played it for them. Me, Kandy [his wife] and her sister were together when we first heard it and they were crying. Then Ernie [Isley] and his wife came over and there was crying again. We hadn’t done any crying over a record in years.”

Kandy– Ronald’s wife and manager–said:
“All we can say is that God’s hands was on this whole project.”
While the two singers recorded separately, Kandy says listeners will not be able to tell. She explained,
“Between Beyoncé’s undeniable talent and [producer/engineer] Tony Maserati’s superb job at blending her and Ronald’s voices — he made it sound like she was right there with Ronald in the same room.”

Beyoncé’s Renaissance album reportedly debuted at number one on Billboard 200, earning a grand total of 332,000 equivalent album units in its first week!
With sixteen tracks featured on the album, Renaissance’s numeric performance crowned Beyoncé this year’s first female artist to top the controversial chart for the most sales in one week and the second-largest overall.
Ronald Isley and The Isley Brothers are the latest iconic musicians to work with Beyoncé on her new album. Last week, she teamed up with Madonna for “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix),” a new version of Renaissance‘s lead single that features elements of the Queen of Pop’s “Vogue.”
