Yung Miami Of ‘City Girls’ Shuts Down Rumors Claiming She Has A Solo Album Coming Out Soon
Yung Miami is making it clear that she is not branching off musically from her other half/group member JT.
On Sunday morning (September 4), a post via Twitter surfaced online and claimed that City Girls member Yung Miami, 28, has a solo project on the way. The tweet in question alleged Yung Miami, real name Caresha Brownlee, is set to release her debut solo album in October. The tweet read,
“Yung Miami announces her debut solo EP “Real Bad” is releasing with 9 tracks in October.”
After seemingly becoming aware of the post, the Florida-born rapstress responded to the speculation that she is putting out new music as a solo artist. In a tweet, Miami denied the post was accurate and wrote,
“Lie again!!!!!!!!”
Since their hip-hop group initially took off in 2017, the City Girls, which consist of Yung Miami and JT, born Jatavia Johnson, 29, have easily become “friendship goals” for many.
The City Girls have a few projects under their belt and are expected to release their third studio album soon. As previously reported, the upcoming album was set to drop on July 29, but had to be delayed after the duo faced some issues.
The rap duo released their debut studio album “Girl Code” in 2018 selling over 200,000 units and peaked in the top half of Billboard’s 200 at number 55. The musical group released their second studio album “City on Lock” in 2020 featuring artists such as Doja Cat, Yo Gotti, and Lil Baby.
