Takeoff’s Alleged Murderer Requests Bail Reduction After Being Granted Funds To Hire Private Investigator, Vows To Live w/ Parents

Takeoff’s alleged murderer, Patrick Xavier Clark, is asking a judge to reduce his bail in hopes of being released from jail.

According to reports, Clark filed a motion in Texas on Monday (Dec. 12) to reduce his $2 million bail. Instead, he would like his bail to be set at $100k, which he thinks he can afford with the help of a professional bondsman. If granted, Patrick Xavier Clark says he will stay with his parents, where he claims he’s always lived.
His attorney, Carl Moore, also says Clark will wear a GPS monitor and abide by any curfew that may be issued by the judge. Clark is also willing to surrender his passport and says he’ll willingly follow any “no-contact” order with respect to certain people.

As previously reported, Kirshnik Khari Takeoff‘ Ball was shot and killed outside of a Houston bowling alley last month. Through investigation, police reportedly found video evidence, license plate information, and fingerprints found from a wine bottle that matched ballistic evidence, tying Clark to the fatal weapon.

Clark also recently asked a judge for money to hire a private investigator in hopes of proving he’s innocent. Clark has requested an initial sum of $5,000 to hire a P.I., claiming without assistance he’s financially unable to cover the costs needed to bring an investigator onto the case.

Legal documents reportedly note that Clark’s family has spent all their money on his attorney, who agreed to work at a reduced rate. Clark says he’s already found a P.I. who is also willing to work for a reduced rate, only charging him $85/hour. In his filing, Clark said he had,

“exhausted all finances to pay for his attorney who has agreed to a substantially reduced rate.”

According to reports, Patrick Xavier Clark was granted the $5,000 by the judge to hire a private investigator. The court granted the motion on Friday (Dec. 9), and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office has been ordered to allow a P.I. to access Clark, who is currently behind bars, with a laptop, printer, and device to record their conversations.

Clark’s bond reduction hearing is reportedly scheduled for Wednesday, December 14.
