Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan is now part owner of the English soccer team AFC Bournemouth!
According to reports, a statement from the Premier League club released Tuesday morning (December 13) announced that a deal had closed, completing the sale of Bournemouth to a group led by American businessman Bill Foley alongside a minority ownership group. Led by actor Michael B. Jordan, the minority investment group purchased a stake in the club.

Reportedly, the finalized deal marks Michael B. Jordan’s first entry into professional sports ownership. The 35-year-old director/producer is also the latest high-profile Hollywood star to turn their business interests toward English soccer.

Reports state that Bill Foley will take on the role of club Chairman with immediate effect, and he will work closely with Jordan and his business partner Nullah Sarker in areas including “global marketing and internationalization of the club.”
AFC Bournemouth is reportedly based on the south coast of England and competes in the Premier League, England’s top league. The club is currently 14th in the Premier League with 16 points from 15 games.
