Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Star Jen Shah Sentenced to 6 1/2 Years In Prison Following Wire Fraud Guilty Plea
New details have been released regarding Jen Shah and the alleged telemarketing scheme is took part in.
Reportedly, the “Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City” star will be spending six and a half years in a Texas prison and five years supervised release after she pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Her consequences also include forfeiting $6,500,000, 30 luxury items, 78 counterfeit luxury items, and to pay $6,645,251 in restitution. During her sentence on Friday (Jan. 6) Jen Shah reportedly got emotional in front of the Manhattan federal court as she apologized to her victims saying “with the proper medication I can now see what happened.” She said:
“I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people.”

US Attorney Damian Williams said Shah’s sentencing means she “finally faces the consequences of the many years she spent targeting vulnerable, elderly victims.” In a statement Damian Williams shared:
“These individuals were lured in by false promises of financial security, but in reality, Shah and her co-conspirators defrauded them out of their savings and left them with nothing to show for it. This conviction and sentence demonstrate once again that we will continue to vigorously protect victims of financial fraud and hold accountable those who engage in fraudulent schemes.”
As previously reported, after a consistent attempt of maintaining her alleged innocence, the 49-year-old was detained in March of 2021 for targeting and scamming folks out of their money with an alleged telemarketing scheme. Initially she pled not guilty but in July of 2022 she confessed to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. As part of her deal, prosecutors dropped one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. The reality star faced up to 14 years in prison and would’ve possibly had to pay nine million in restitution to the victims of the crime.
