50 Cent Reveals ‘BMF’ Universe Expanding w/ Three Spinoffs

50 Cent Reveals ‘BMF’ Universe Expanding w/ Three Spinoffs
It looks like we will be seeing a lot more of “BMF” on our screens.
During the season 2 premiere of “BMF” at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson revealed he has plans to expand the “BMF” universe and create three spinoffs of the hit series. The rapper-turned-mogul told sources,
“They got some really, really smart executives coming in to help rebuild Starz in the right way. And it’s exciting for me…You’ll get a chance to see three spinoff shows from ‘BMF.’ It’s ‘BMF’ immortal.”
“BMF” is a crime drama television series, which follows the Black Mafia Family, a drug trafficking and money laundering organization. It’s inspired by the true story of two brothers who rose from the streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and created one of the most influential crime families in the US. Season 2 of the hit series premiered on January 6.
This news comes four months after 50 Cent announced the end of his contract with Starz. Even though he did not renew his exclusive deal with Starz in September, sources say both parties remain committed to creating content that connects culturally like “BMF” and the “Power” Universe series.

As previously reported, 50 Cent has had ongoing issues while producing many hits for the network. Earlier this year, the EP called for a streaming boycott, due to the network not immediately renewing his mega-popular series. Reportedly, some of Starz’s biggest ratings as of late can be credited to 50’s executive-produced series “Power” and its spinoffs as well as “BMF.”
During his partnership, the “Candy Shop” rapper has threatened to leave the network multiple times due to delayed pickups and production disagreements. Ultimately, 50 announced back in September that he was officially walking away from Starz. In an Instagram post announcing the decision, he wrote:
“09-17-22 official day of really owning my content & deciding where and how i do it moving forward!!! GLG GreenLightGang bulls eye we don’t miss BOOM”
However, from the looks of it, 50 Cent and Starz will be collaborating for a while. Last month, the entertainment mogul and Starz announced the development of a new series titled “Fightland.” The scripted series will reportedly be about a “disgraced” British boxer seeking retribution. The description of the series reads:
“[Fight Land] follows a retired disgraced world champion fighter drawn into the corrupt underbelly of the sport after the disappearance of his childhood best friend and training partner. To save his friend, the troubled fighter will have to return to a way of life that nearly destroyed him – one that cost him everything to leave behind.”
