Rapper Kay Flock Indicted On RICO Charges While Incarcerated As A Murder Suspect
It doesn’t seem that rapper Kay Flock is having much luck in the courtroom.
According to reports, the Bronx musician was just indicted on a series of gang-related racketeering and conspiracy charges, while he is currently jailed awaiting a murder trial.
Reportedly, Kay Flock, real name Kevin Perez, 19, was detained on a first-degree murder charge back in December of 2021. The rap star is suspected of fatally shooting a rival gang member named Oscar Hernandez, which was allegedly caught on video. In the new indictment, Kay Flock and 5 of his associates stand accused of running an organized gang for the purpose of committing crimes.

Reportedly, some of the alleged crimes include robberies, acts of violence, and financial fraud in their Belmont neighborhood of the Bronx. Additionally, the suspects will reportedly face several counts of attempted murder and illegal firearm possession.
Prior to his arrest, Kay Flock was steadily emerging into the realm of drill rap. The “Shake It” artist was able to stay somewhat relevant while behind bars, largely due to his Billboard charting hit featuring fellow NY rapper Cardi B. Reportedly, the record peaked at #51 on the Hot 100 chart.
If Kay Flock is found guilty in both trials, the rapper could be facing life in prison. No reps from the rapper’s camp have spoken publicly about the indictment at this time.
