Meek Mill’s Fans React To Rapper Claiming He’s Paid $1 Million A Song: ‘Bro Really From Philly, Lying For No Reason’

“I’m getting a million a song … so that’s 62,500 every bar I speak…. They say this rap sh*t dying must be on billboard because it’s not to meek!”

While the post seemed innocent enough, fans were quick to chime in with their thoughts. Some took the side of supporting Meek, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, 36, simply offering words of encouragement or props of his alleged income. Others, however, hailed the music artist’s claim as “cap,” arguing they don’t believe at all that he’s securing $1 million per song.

Taking a look at Meek’s discography, one could make the argument that he’s able to lock in such a price for his service. Since signing with Rick Ross‘ Maybach Music back in 2011, the Philly native has gone on to see major mainstream success. His first studio album “Dreams and Nightmares” (2012), peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was arguably the project that launched his stardom.

Subsequently, Meek has released music that includes features from Rick Ross, Drake, T.I., Birdman, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and more. He also eventually went on to do a c0-headlining tour alongside Future. To date, the rap star has released 5 solo studio albums with his fourth, “Championships” (2018), debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The lead single from the record, “Going Bad” featuring Drake, peaked at #6 and is his highest charting single on Billboard’s Rhythmic Songs chart.

Now, Meek is the owner of his record label Dream Chaser Records, which has signed musicians such as Yung Bleu and Vory. Being a boss hasn’t kept him from continuing to make music for his fans, however. Earlier this month, Meek and Rick Ross dropped a collab album titled “Too Good to Be True,” which includes features from artists such as Teyana Taylor, Wale, The-Dream, French Montana, and more. The project has seemingly been positively received and sits at #23 on the Billboard 200 chart at the time this article was written.
