Journalist Jemele Hill Says Diddy ‘Is Sinking Everything He’s Been Attached To’ As She Speaks On The Multiple Sexual Assault Allegations Surrounding The Media Mogul: ‘His Reputation Is Gone’
Has Diddy ruined his legacy?
The entertainer has been making headlines a lot lately, and not for the best reasons. Earlier this week, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a $30 million sexual assault and harassment lawsuit against Diddy. The lawsuit marked the 5th of its kind that Diddy has been hit with since November 2023. You may recall that month, his ex-girlfriend and singer Cassie Ventura filed a suit accusing the “Gotta Move On” artist of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse. The exes settled one day after Cassie made her claims known. However, it’s important to note that Diddy has maintained his innocence in all the cases.
During a recent podcast interview, well-known journalist Jemele Hill talked about the serious allegations surrounding Diddy and how his alleged past has tainted his image. She said,
“I think once the floodgates were sort of opened with his ex Cassie coming out with the allegations that she did, which were very serious, very, you know, they were d*mning. … and to be totally honest, I think as we see the pattern with all of these cases, it takes one person. That person has the bravery and the courage to come forward and then suddenly you hear many stories or you have many allegations that surface.”
She continued,
“I know that in general when it comes to these accusations finally coming to light, they have been the subject of whispers for many many years…. You may now be finding out the gory, awful, tragic, horrible details. But there’s always been a lot of whispers around some of these people that when we finally sort of understand the depth of what the allegations are against them, it can be jarring to a lot of people.”
Later Jemele Hill touched on how the public’s perception of Diddy is probably forever changed.
“I think his reputation is – the damage is irreversible. When you think about how he was moving in the business world, I don’t think anybody in their right mind wants to do business with Diddy.”
She continued,
“I’m not saying that this should be a reason that people feel any sympathy whatsoever for him But, usually these people have built an entire economy around what they do. And so it’s not just about Diddy, it’s about the people that have become sort of a part of the Empire he’s built.”
And added,
“Like, I think about Revolt. I know a lot of people who work over at Revolt, these are really good talented people, and I’m wondering like what’s going to happen to them because of all of this. …Because anything right now with Diddy’s name on it is toxic. It’s not just about him, he’s sinking everything that he’s been attached to.”
“Anything with Diddy’s name on it right now is toxic. He’s sinking everything that he’s been attached to…he may survive with his freedom but his reputation is gone…
…it’s not about his sexuality, it’s about whether or not he abused his power…”

As previously reported, many parties have already started to separate themselves from Diddy, including Revolt. Last November it was announced that Diddy would be stepping down from his role as chairman. That same month, Capital Preparatory Schools announced the end of its partnership with the celeb as well.
