G Herbo Pays Off Six-Figure Restitution In Wire Fraud Case, Pleads For Return Of Passport
Rapper G Herbo seemingly has some international travel plans on his to-do list.
According to a report from RadarOnline, prosecutors have informed the court that Herbert Wright III, professionally known as G Herbo, has settled his $139,968 restitution.
In December 2020, the 28-year-old and friends were indicted on multiple federal charges that included wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. The men were accused of stealing people’s identities to fund their lavish lifestyles. G Herbo ultimately took a plea deal, pleading guilty to one charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one charge of making false statements to a federal official. In January of this year, he was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay $139,968 in restitution and a $5,500 fine.

Confirming he paid the debt, court documents reportedly noted the government said,
“Now comes the United States of America and acknowledges satisfaction of the assessment, restitution and/or fine Judgment as to the defendant in the above-captioned matter, Herbert Wright III, by payment in full. The United States also acknowledges satisfaction of the Order of Forfeiture or Forfeiture Money Judgment, by payment in full.”
Reportedly, the “PTSD” rapper also recently asked that his passport be returned to him. He had to surrender the passport to the Probation Department in December 2020 pending resolution of the case. He reportedly can’t have the document back until a court order is issued for its release.

At the time of this report, it’s unclear if the court has approved his request.
