Wendy Williams’ Guardian Wants Media Personality’s Ex, Kevin Hunter, To Return The $100K He Was ‘Overpaid’ In Spousal Support
The ex-husband of media maven Wendy Williams may be required to pay back some of his divorce settlement money.
According to a report from RadarOnline, a lawsuit recently filed on the TV host’s behalf against Kevin Hunter claims he’s been paid more alimony money than he should’ve been.

Reportedly, Wendy Williams’ financial guardian Sabrina Morrissey filed the suit in response to Kevin Hunter’s repeated attempts to have the courts continue his suspended alimony payments. In her filing, Sabrina Morrissey argues that the TV producer’s request for more money should be denied, and he should also be required to pay back the overage amount he received prior to Wendy Williams‘ court order guardianship.
The legal professional says that the divorce contract between Williams and Kevin Hunter explicitly states that severance payments would end if the TV host’s income dropped below a certain amount. When Williams officially stopped hosting her eponymous talk series in October of 2021, Morrissey says her income fell below that amount and Hunter’s alimony should’ve stopped then. However, as noted in his own lawsuit, Hunter continued to be paid alimony until January 2022. Morrissey claims in the legal document:
“[Williams] continued to pay Mr. Hunter. He says in his motion papers… that he was paid through January of 2022…As a result, [Hunter] has been unjustly enriched by the receipt of $112,500 ($37,500 x 3 months) belonging to [Williams].”

As we’ve previously reported, Hunter filed a court motion against his ex-wife in 2022, seeking to have a court mandate his severance payments continue. He argued that the abruptness of the ended payments upended his life and he needed the money for everyday living expenses, writing in his lawsuit:
“This is an emergent matter because I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly…Therefore, I respectfully request that the Court require [Williams] to immediately pay all severance payments which may be due and owing at the time of this Court’s Order,”

However, Morrissey requested the overpaid money be returned to Williams and that Hunter be barred from discussing the suit publicly. It has not been reported a judge has ruled on the matter at this time.
