Latto Speaks On Pressure To Get A BBL At 21: ‘Make Your Own Decisions Based On What You Want To Do’

Latto is sharing new details about her decision to undergo a BBL four years ago.

The 25-year-old rapper recently took to social media to get some things off her chest. Addressing the criticism received for posting gym selfies from spectators commenting on her surgical enhancements, Latto stated,

“My body was so tea. …I signed my deal when I was 21…actually I wasn’t even 21 yet…and I was just having money and living a whole new life, eating out. Ya’ll know I’m a foodie, so now I had the funds to feed this foodie in me so I gained a little weight. And everybody on the internet was calling me ‘bad-bodied’ and stuff like that, so I feel like that played a role. I started being a little insecure about my body.”

Latto went on to share how the criticism she receives is still there after getting a Brazilian Butt Lift.

“Every time I post a gym picture, people be like, ‘Oh, she got a BBL.’ I’ve been so loud and clear about a BBL that I had four years ago. When I was 21, that y’all convinced me I needed, by the way.”

She continued,

“B****** be on their third, fourth round by now. I got one BBL four years ago. This is all me now, know that. I get my a** up and go to the gym!”

She added,

“Moral of the story: I just think everybody should just stop worrying about everybody. Natural girls are winning. Surgery girls… BBL girls are winning. Do what works for you and mind your own business. Make your own decisions based on what you want to do, not what other people are telling you to do.”

This isn’t the first time Latto has discussed her experience with plastic surgery.

The Grammy-nominated rapper expressed similar sentiments during an April 2023 sit-down on her radio show, 777 Radio, where she encouraged young women to prioritize what’s best for them.

Additionally, in November 2023, Latto mentioned in an interview,

“I got a BBL in 2020. I also got 360 lipo: that’s on my stomach, back, sides, and whole torso. But then you’ve got to maintain it, so I just hired a trainer.”

Latto continued by detailing her consideration of undergoing a second round, saying,

“I tweeted the other day that I was almost going to get a round two of surgery and then I was like, let me just get a trainer instead.”
