Dr. Dre Sets Sights On Archery Competition For Next Olympic Games + Performs w/ Snoop Dogg During 2024 Closing Ceremony
Dr. Dre aims to trade beats for bows at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
In a recent interview, Dr. Dre, the legendary hip-hop mogul and producer, revealed his ambitious plan to compete in archery at the upcoming Summer Games.

Regarding how serious he is, Dr. Dre said,
“I’m dead-ass serious.”
Dr. Dre’s interest in archery is not entirely new. He disclosed that he was a member of an archery team during junior high but took a hiatus as his music career took off:
“I actually started playing around with archery in junior high. I stopped for a while.”

Recently, his passion for the sport was reignited when his son gifted him archery equipment for Father’s Day:
“My son bought me a setup. I have it set up in my backyard, and I heard that qualifying for the Olympics is 77 ft, and I practice at 90.”
The hip-hop icon’s declaration comes just after his performance with Snoop Dogg on the beach in Los Angeles, celebrating the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Olympics and the handoff to the 2028 Games.
