A$AP Rocky On Beef w/ Drake: ‘I Got Bigger Fish To Fry Than Some P***y Boys’
Rap star A$AP Rocky is letting it be known that he isn’t giving too much attention to his feud with Drake.
The New York native recently spoke about exchanging diss records with the fellow rapper, making it clear that he’s moved on from the situation.
Referencing the rap war from earlier this year, which saw A$AP Rocky take a jab at Drake on the song “Show of Hands” from Metro Boomin and Future’s We Still Don’t Trust You album, the musician stated during his latest interview:
“You got to realize, certain n***as was throwing shots for years. I ain’t in the middle of that sh*t.”
He added:
“That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some p***y boys.
As you may recall, Drake found himself the target of several rap disses earlier this year after Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and The Weeknd all appeared on the Future and Metro Boomin project, seemingly with the collective task of firing back at the Toronto native.
Between Drake and A$AP specifically, it seems the father of two joined the project to respond to Drake first shading him and Rihanna on his For All The Dogs album released last October, via the songs “Fear Of Heights” and “Another Late Night.”
Despite his participation in the rap squabble, A$AP insisted during the interview that he’s more concerned with things happening in real life. He furthered:
“It is real beef outside. It is real. N***as getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N***as sniping n***as every day. That little kitty sh*t ain’t about nothing.”
Fans have speculated that A$AP did use at least one moment from his forthcoming Don’t Be Dumb album to take another jab at Drake. On the single “HIGHJACK,” he raps the line:
“Don’t compare that p***y boy to me (I don’t like that) / Feelin’ like I’m Sosa, Chief Keef / Tired of them n***as sleepin’ on me, I don’t like naps / N***as f**k around and stole the flow and y’all like that?”
