Diddy Helped Elon Musk Buy Twitter For $44 Billion In 2022
It turns out Diddy was one of the people who helped Elon Musk secure the funds to purchase Twitter (now called X) for $44 billion back in November 2022. While reports swirled that Diddy was an investor at the time, it has now been confirmed.
The social media platform’s shareholders have been revealed as recently unsealed court documents named dozens of people and organizations, and Diddy’s Sean Combs Capital, LLC was on the list.

Other investors were Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman.
It’s not clear if Diddy or any other original investors still own any stake in the company two years later.
X had filed the investor list under sealed documents after ex-Twitter workers sued the company last year. They claimed Elon Musk failed to pay them certain fees and violated arbitration agreements after he bought the company.
Lawyers representing the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press organization then filed a motion last month for the court documents to be unsealed and on Tuesday (Aug. 20), the request was granted.
Meanwhile, Diddy is facing his own legal issues as he’s been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a handful of lawsuits since November 2023. At that time, his former girlfriend Cassie filed a bombshell lawsuit against him, alleging that he was physically abusive and forced her to participate in sex trafficking throughout their 10-year relationship. A disturbing video of him physically abusing Cassie while in a hotel also surfaced in May, taking the allegations to a new level.
Since then, many other men and one male, producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, have made similar claims against the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder. In March, his Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided by Homeland Security agents. While no charges have been filed, it’s been reported that he’s the subject of a federal investigation and a grand jury has already heard testimony.
