Candace Owens’ YouTube Channel Demonetized After Kanye West Interview Violates Platform’s Hate Speech Policy
Candace Owens’ YouTube channel has been demonetized for 90 days after she recently posted an interview with Kanye West.
On September 9, Candace Owens took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that YouTube had issued her a strike and suspended her account for a week, citing the interview as a violation of its hate speech policies.

The 35-year-old political commentator wrote,
“There will be no show today, or at all this week. That’s because @YouTube has issued me a strike and a one week suspension for my sit down with Kanye. They also removed the interview as ‘hate speech,’ as it was mass reported by Zionists. Their tactics never change.”

YouTube’s notification stated the reason for removing the video, explaining that it contained claims violating their hate speech policies, specifically mentioning Kanye’s statement that “Jewish people control the media.”
The platform added,
“YouTube does not allow content containing conspiratorial claims that individuals or groups are evil, corrupt or malicious based on their protected group status.”

In a follow-up tweet, Candace Owens revealed that her channel had been hit with multiple strikes, leading to demonetization:
“Thus far, I have had zero strikes on my @YouTubeCreators account. I have now been inundated with 3 back to back content hits within minutes, plus an email that I am now fully demonetized.”
She attributed the strikes to the same “Zionist” agenda, adding,
“We all know exactly who is behind this and why.”

A screenshot of the email from YouTube confirmed that Owens’ channel was removed from the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) due to violations of their Ad-Friendly and Community Guidelines. The email explained that her content was deemed unsuitable for monetization and that she could reapply after 90 days.

Owens later posted the full Kanye interview on X (formerly Twitter).
This incident comes just months after Owens parted ways with the conservative outlet The Daily Wire, where she had hosted a commentary show since 2021.
