Jennifer Aniston’s Home Targeted By Swatters, Prank Callers Reportedly Told Police She’s ‘Not Doing Well’
Actress Jennifer Aniston is the latest celebrity victimized by swatting.
According to TMZ, the TV star, 55, got an unwarranted visit from police last week after prank callers claimed she was mentally unwell.
Reportedly, an anonymous person phoned authorities and requested a welfare check on their friend last Friday (September 20th). The individual alleged that the homeowner was “not doing well” and was alluding to suicidal ideations, though they opted not to give the name of the person they were seeking help for only the address.

Upon arrival, police were met by confused security guards who made them aware they were at Jennifer Aniston’s home. The Friends star reportedly spoke to the officers and assured them she did not intend to inflict any self-harm, leading them to conclude that Anniston was targeted by swatters.
As we’ve previously covered swatting – which is typically done in order to have a large number of armed police officers dispatched to a particular address – has been on the rise in Hollywood over the years. Several big-named celebs have been targeted by the prank calls, including Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber.
The report adds that police took note of Aniston’s address after the incident, and will contact her security first in case the prankers try her again. They are also investigating the matter, with the prank callers potentially facing a criminal charge.
