D.L. Hughley Says Janet Jackson Was Being ‘Malicious’ w/ Her Comment About Kamala Harris Not Being Black
Comedian D.L. Hughley had a few more thoughts to share about Janet Jackson questioning whether or not Vice President Kamala Harris is a Black woman.
The entertainer accused the “Scream” singer of having “insidious” intentions and shared that he believes Janet Jackson was purposefully trying to hurt Kamala Harris’ chances in the presidential campaign.
D.L. Hughley spoke about the matter during a recent interview with TMZ, stating:
“I think that it’s easily provable to determine whether her father is Black or not….There’s a reason you don’t want to know,”
He continued:
“You have to search the furthest region of the right-wing internet to find that.”

The stand-up professional went on to compare Janet Jackson’s comments to other “right-wing” conspiracies, such as #DonaldTrump claiming that Haitians eat dogs and previous accusations that former president #BarackObama wasn’t an American citizen.
As you may recall, Jackson came under fire last week after claiming she “heard” Kamala Harris’ father wasn’t Black. Hughley explained further in the interview why he believes Jackson knew good and well what she was doing, adding:
“I think that it has a malicious intent, I don’t think it’s innocent…Based on where it comes from, the type of allegations it was, [an] assertion it was that’s easily provable – why would you perpetuate it, particularly at this point in the race…It is one Black woman saying something that hurts another Black woman…Even if it were true…what the f**k does that have to do with anything we’re talking about?”
Hughley also said he believes that Jackson firing her rep for issuing an apology about the remark shows her intent on doubling down on her claim about Harris.
