Towanda Braxton Shares Message She Heard From Late Sister Traci Following Her Engagement: ‘It’s About D**n Time!’
Towanda Braxton says she’s still connected to her sister Traci, even in death.
The 50-year-old recently spoke about getting proposed to by her boyfriend of 9 years Sean Hall on the season finale of The Braxtons and shared the supportive message she received from her late sibling Traci Braxton.
During an interview with PEOPLE, Towanda Braxton stated:
“After I got engaged, I couldn’t sleep for a week because I was really, really excited…I had a message from her that [said], ‘It’s about d**n time.’ That’s what I heard her say in pure Traci fashion.”
She continued:
“She would’ve been just as excited and just as happy…She would’ve had tears and crying and hugging to join in the joyous occasion of me finally being engaged.”
As you may recall, Traci Braxton tragically passed away in 2022 following a private battle with esophageal cancer. Towanda went on in the interview to discuss her feelings about her sister not being physically present on her wedding day, stating:
“It just hit me really hard…She’s not physically going to be able to stand for me. And because I’m the only sister who has never had a wedding, I will be the only sister that’s not going to have my sister [Traci].”
She added:
“It was an aha moment, like, ‘Oh, my God. Yes, her spirit is here. Yes, the presence of Traci’s energy will always be here, but Traci isn’t here.’”
