Jamie Foxx Celebrates Return To The Stage After Health Scare: ‘God Is Good’

Jamie Foxx is back in action, reflecting on his emotional return to the stage after nearly 18 years and a life-altering health scare.

On October 14, the actor and comedian shared heartfelt photos from his recent one-man show,

“One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx,” in Atlanta. He expressed his gratitude in an Instagram post, writing, “God is good…. My heart and my soul are filled with nothing but pure joy. On October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story, and there was no better place than Atlanta.”

Foxx thanked the Atlanta audience, stating,

“I haven’t been on stage in 18 years but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love.”

He also clarified the nature of his performance, saying,

“When people ask me is this a stand-up comedy show, I say no, it’s an artistic explanation of something that went terribly wrong.”

Jamie Foxx announced the one-man show back in September, vowing to share more details about his April 2023 health scare, during which he was hospitalized in Atlanta due to what was described as a “medical complication.” While the specifics of his illness were not publicly disclosed, Jamie shared with a fan that he experienced a severe headache and subsequently spent 20 days in the hospital.

We’re happy to see him in good spirits! Share your thoughts in the comments below!
