Trump’s Former White House Chef Hopes He Embraces Healthier Diet When He Reenters White House In 2025
We all know Donald Trump is headed back to the White House, and his former chef hopes this time he’ll take eating healthier a bit more seriously.
Chef Andre Rush, who worked with Donald Trump during his previous term, told TMZ that at 78, Trump isn’t the man he was in 2016.
With the demands of the job and his age, Chef Rush stresses that a better diet is crucial to keeping him in top shape. If Donald Trump‘s not ready to make those changes on his own, Chef Rush believes the kitchen staff will have to get creative—preparing healthier meals that still cater to Donald Trump’s taste.
Rush, who also served under Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, recalls that in his first term, Trump’s favorites were burgers, steaks, tacos, and meatloaf, often paired with a Diet Coke. Known for his love of American comfort food, Trump mainly ate dinner, frequently skipping breakfast and lunch.
On the healthier side, he did enjoy salmon, a preference Chef Rush hopes will stick—with fewer fast-food requests. Rush also added that Trump was always friendly and appreciative of the kitchen staff.
