Uber Eats Driver Finds Mar*juana Instead Of Burrito In Delivery Package

An Uber Eats driver got more than she bargained for during a recent delivery in #Lindenwold, New Jersey.

The driver, who was expecting a burrito meal, picked up a package that seemed to contain a foil-wrapped burrito, a box of soup mix, and a bottle of water. However, as she was driving, something didn’t smell quite right.

Suspicious, she pulled over and called the police. When they arrived, the package was inspected and it turned out to be no burrito at all. Washington Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik said, “There was no meat, or lettuce or beans or rice. It was actually an ounce of mar*juana.”

Since the package didn’t come from a restaurant, police suspect it might have been an attempt to use the Uber Eats service for illegal deliveries. Uber’s website prohibits the transport of illegal substances, including mar*juana.

No charges have been filed, and Uber has called the incident “deeply disturbing,” encouraging drivers to contact local authorities if they suspect anything suspicious.
