Drake’s Legal Team Says ‘It’s Not Surprising’ Spotify Wants To Distance Itself From UMG Lawsuit
Drake’s legal team has issued a statement after Spotify’s response to his claims.
“It is not surprising that Spotify is trying to distance themselves from UMG’s allegedly manipulative practices to artificially inflate streaming numbers on behalf of one of its other artists. If Spotify and UMG have nothing to hide then they should be perfectly fine complying with this basic discovery request.”
The streamer is requesting Drake’s legal action be dismissed and denies they played a role in helping UMG inflate the success of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
