Nikyra was in New Orleans with her cousin and a friend to celebrate when disaster struck. After leaving Voodoo Chicken and Daiquiris on Bourbon Street, g*nfire broke out, causing panic. Nikyra ran into the street and was struck by a speeding truck.
The suspect, Shamsud Din Jabbar, reportedly crashed his truck into a crowd before opening fire on police officers. At least 15 were k*lled and 30 others injured in what the FBI is calling an act of terror*sm.
Melissa is now asking for prayers as she faces this devastating loss.
Our prayers are with all of those effected by this tragic event.
