Fifth Suspect Arrested In M*rder Of Florida Rapper Julio Foolio In Jacksonville
The six-month manhunt for the fifth suspect in the m*rder of Jacksonville rapper Charles Jones, known as Julio Foolio, has come to an end.
Davion Murphy, 27, was arrested in Jacksonville. His capture followed months of searching for him in connection with the fatal sh**ting.
Murphy was apprehended by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, with help from the gang unit and the U.S. Marshals Service, at a local apartment complex. He has since been booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
Murphy has been wanted since June 23, when he and four other suspects traveled to Tampa and allegedly k*lled the 26-year-old rapper. Authorities believe the m*rder is linked to a long-standing gang feud.
Four other individuals have already been charged with first-degree m*rder in the case: Rashad Murphy, 30; Isaiah Chance, 21; Alicia Andrews, 21; and Sean Gathright, 18.
Law enforcement officials state that the violent conflict between the 6 Block, ATK, and 1200 gangs has spanned more than a decade. They believe this rivalry led to the slaying of Jones.
